Big deal. Everyone knew Mehlman was gay. That's what made his actions so despicable. If I may coin a phrase, people who live in glass closets shouldn't throw stones.

Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church in New York, said Wednesday that he would gladly help mediate between the proponents and critics of an Islamic center and mosque planned for a site two blocks from ground zero.

I say build a new Catholic Church on the proposed site in lower Manhattan and let the Muslims move into St. Patrick's Cathedral in midtown.

CNN TV: They stole his bike. They stole his lap-top, too. The interviewer asked him if it was a special laptop "in Braille". The on-screen caption read "Thieves steal bike from blind student". Thank God they didn't steal his car.
